1. Reduced allergy and asthma
Not keeping areas tidy that have carpeting, upholstery, or bedding can create dust balls that bother a sensitive person. Then in the naturally damp regions, such as basements and garages, mold is created, which will worsen allergies and asthma.
2. Lower stress and fatigue
As it turns out when you live in a disordered home, you are then reminded of work that needs to be finished, and the only thing you will see is the work to do. This causes stress! Too much clutter can create a vast amount of fatigue and stress.

How Often Should You Clean Certain Areas?
This is excellent information; however, you might be wondering, does your bed need to be cleaned as much as your toilet or sink? Great question, so let’s go over how often areas of your home should be cleaned so that you know if you’re getting the job done.
Every week or two. Most bacteria on your sheets are environmental (such as dust) and are mostly harmless. Rugs and Floors
One to every two weeks. Carpets should be vacuumed weekly and even more often if you have pets because you have probably noticed chucks of fur collecting on the floor. This is to keep dust, dirt, and other allergens at bay. Give your floors a good wash once every couple of weeks, especially in the kitchen. You will probably want to wash your kitchen floors more often, due to food bacteria that can spread around.
Once a week, at LEAST! Your bathroom can be your home’s bacteria headquarters. E.coli can be found within a few feet of the toilet and in the sink. To keep it away, disinfect the toilet and sink at least once weekly.
The bathtub can be disinfected every two weeks or more if you shower. Your shower curtains should be sanitized weekly to avoid mildew growth, which can cause skin, eye, and throat inflammation in some people.
It depends on the room. Bath towels become loaded with bacteria such as staph and fecal matter. If your towel doesn’t get fully dry, the bacteria on it can grow. And besides, dandruff-causing fungi can also grow in them, so I recommend swapping out bath towels every other day so you can avoid the headache and itch. Your kitchen rags collect bacteria every time you manage food and wash your hands after. I’d say to wash those weekly unless you handled raw meat, in that case, clean the towel instantly.
Every few days. Your kitchen sponge gets extremely germ-y, with an army of bacteria that number in the billions on every square inch. Wait! Don’t panic. Most of that bacteria is not harmful. I recommend dropping them into boiling water for 2 minutes every couple of days, and replacing them when they depreciate. You can also throw them into the dirty laundry for a good clean!
Once a week, depending on the rooms. Though typical household doorknobs accumulate a lot of bacteria, they only need to be washed occasionally. However, doorknobs in the kitchen and bathroom will eventually catch a lot more bacteria, so disinfecting them at least once a week is in your best interest to prevent infection, especially if there’s a sickness in the house.
